Privacy policy

This policy explains what information Goshen collects, why, and the choices you have. We follow UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

The short version: we collect only what the game needs. We never sell your information. We do not show adverts that track you. Your private chats are private.

Who we are

Goshen (goshengame.com) is based in Northern Ireland, UK. We are responsible for your information (the "data controller"). Contact: support@goshengame.com.

What we collect

Why we use it

Who can see what

Companies that help us

We use trusted services to run Goshen: Supabase (accounts and saved data), Vercel (website hosting), Stripe (payments), Google (sign in with Google, analytics if you agree, and fonts) and Open-Meteo (weather for your game city; it only receives the city, not your location). They only use your information to provide their service to us.

How long we keep it

We keep your account while you use Goshen. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your game and personal information within 30 days, except payment records we must keep by law (usually 6 years).

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, download or delete your information, or object to how we use it. Email support@goshengame.com. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Young people

Goshen is for ages 13 and up. If we learn that someone under 13 has an account, we will delete it. Parents can read more on our Parents & safety page.

Cookies and storage

Goshen saves your game and settings on your device so it loads quickly. Analytics cookies are only used if you say yes. You can change your mind by clearing this site's data in your browser.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date below and tell players in the game for important changes.
